The Australian sharemarket has opened higher.

At 10.10am AEDT today, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index was up 12.7 points, or 0.27 per cent, at 4790.2, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 12.6 points, or 0.26 per cent, at 4814.8.

On the ASX 24, the March share price index futures contract was up 16 points at 4759, with 2523 contracts traded.
